As we continue to digest the sweeping changes taking shape in our world in the wake of the US presidential election and other political shifts around the globe, it is my sincere hope that we can find our center through loving connection with ourselves and others.
There are many threads to that and I am committed to exploring each one with you. Today, I am inviting you to listen to this week’s radio interview on Dr. Diana Wiley’s Love, Lust and Laughter.
True to the name of her show, although our topic was super serious in many respects, we found a lot of opportunities for shared laughter and even celebration of the joys of sexual connection.
Dr. Diana and I discussed the challenges of celebrating sexuality in the face of having experienced sexual harassment, abuse, and even rape. I detailed steps that sexual abuse survivors can take to feel safe while a self-admitted sexual predator is headed for the White House. And finally, I dismissed a common myth about rape culture. I think you will find what I have to say about raising boys of particular interest.
Most of all, I have a message of hope for those who may feel their sexual freedoms are at risk. If you listen to the interview, I would love to hear from you.
How did it make you feel?
What were your takeaways if any?
And what do you wish I had talked about?
Bright Blessings,
Veronica Monet, ACS, CAM
