It’s no secret that I am on a mission to heal shame. I feel deep in my bones that shame is the cause of so much that hurts and harms all of us.
The irony for me is that if we could openly talk about ourselves and our lives without feeling ashamed, we would be better able to improve our lives and each other’s lives. We could make the world a better place for everyone.
But shame not only creates obstacles to the things we want most in life, it makes it difficult or impossible to fully enjoy those things we do have.
For instance, your sexual pleasure and joy may be limited by shame you are not even aware of.
If you knew that your sexuality lives at your core, fueling your creativity, productivity, spirituality, health, well-being and ability to connect fully and passionately with life, would you let go of any residual sexual shame? And if you did, how might that transform your life? I’m not just talking about your sex life. I am talking about your WHOLE life!
Do I ever feel shame?
Sure. But it passes rather quickly because I have learned what shame looks and feels like. And I know how damaging and limiting that emotion is.
I prefer being accountable. Accountability invites us to take responsibility for our misdeeds and transform our actions into something more positive.
In my most recent podcast interview, I share so much about my life and I weave it all together into a narrative that I hope you find evocative and entertaining, But most of all, I hope you find the seeds of your own shame free zone. You deserve to breath deeply into your life and feel fully alive.
